Artichoke eggs benedict & oatmeal banana pancakes @ The Breakfast Club in North Allston, which is a cult favorite in Boston thanks to its interior 80s-themed decor and outer metal frame. The queue for breakfast is always ridiculous, and I actually let myself get talked into going at 9 AM on a day off just to avoid the wait. John Hughes’ brat pack and the 80s in general hold a very special place in my heart, so I want so much to love this place, but this is my second time trying it out, and I still left feeling pretty underwhelmed. Their pancakes are the best choice on the menu; nothing else is worth waking up that early, though.
