Sauteed eggplant with beef, pork & chive steamed buns, soup dumplings, and mapo tofu @ Gourmet Dumpling House in Chinatown yesterday. I’m the worst at family-style ordering in Chinese restaurants (mixture of insecurity over my language skills and lack of familiarity with the proper names of dishes) so I always default to the same few things when the burden falls on me, but at least I know they’re guaranteed to be delicious. Dinner was perfect after an afternoon of rolling around on the grass, nerf ball chases, and frisbee fights in the Boston Commons.
