Tapas @ Estragon last night. Ground chicken empanadas, serrano ham, warm Spanish goat cheese & tomato, white anchovis with manchego cheese & tomato, alioli over fried potatoes, beef tongue with salsa, crispy pork belly, traditional Spanish tortilla, grilled chorizo, braised beef shank & pork belly & bone marrow, and fried artichoke hearts. The tongue was my favorite, though I also ordered a second round of the braised beef/pork/bone marrow on toast.
South End never disappoints for food adventures, but it remains as inaccessible via public transport as ever. At least the weather’s finally nice enough that I don’t mind the mile-long trek from the subway station! Dinner was also a much needed pick-me-up after finding out yesterday that a graduate student was fatally shot two streets over from where I live. Cool, thanks, Boston.
