Dinner & drinks @ The Salty Pig last night. What a total gem! Long wooden tables, open work stations, and a menu full of cured pork cuts and aged cheeses. It’s like someone picked up a restaurant in Chicago and planted it right in the middle of Boston. We ordered a couple starters of dry-cured garlic sausage and semi-soft cow cheese and then split a prosciutto, basil, pepper, & ricotta pizza. Normally I can’t drink alcohol and eat at the same time, but our server recommended the Bantam Wunderkind cider, and it was totally delicious. Not as sweet as ciders I usually drink, but it fizzes right off the tongue like champagne.
