I'm Bing. My friends often accuse me of taking more photos of food than I do of them.

(That is a fair assessment.)

First night in Boston with @cherrylet. Dinner at Tasca, where we had octopus, portabella mushrooms, salt cod and potato croquettes, braised short rib, and blackberry cheesecake. The salt cod and potato croquettes, despite looking hideous in this photo, were delicious, like vastly superior hash browns, while the blackberry cheesecake, though beautiful, was a disappointment. Bing was right about the hummus dip though; incredible.

The restaurant is very pretty, with a bar upfront and a recessed dining area further back, and the art on the walls was incredibly picturesque. It made me feel like I was dining on a movie set. Bing and I spent most of the evening talking about boys (what else?). Then we went home to watch An Education, which basically consisted of both of us screaming at the television, “No, Jenny, no!” as poor-man’s-Colin-Firth Peter Sarsgaard sleaze-balled his way into Carey Mulligan’s heart. All in all, a wonderful evening.

So great when friends visit and do my blog work for me.
